Spurious Online Bookings

It is with much regret and disappointment, that GMP have experienced a spate of spurious online bookings through the website in the past week.

The online booking facility was introduced to the website, with a view to presenting more accurate driver lists in the race meeting previews section of the website.

Ahead of the Grand National Championship, for instance, there were two hoax bookings for 218 Rob Speak, with a false eMail account detailed.  This type of activity is unhelpful and disruptive.  If it persists, it will serve only to force password access to the GMP site to be necessary for drivers wishing to use the online booking facility.

In these days of racegoers wanting as much accurate information as possible, it is saddening to think some individuals have enough time on their hands to be able to fool around making spoof bookings, in an attempt to mislead.
